Portrait of Pascal Nanlohy
Pascal NanlohyArtist development · publishing · rights & strategy

Our role and approach

One strategic point of contact.

Pascal Nanlohy connects artist development, publishing, music rights and international partnerships. You may choose to work with him alone. If part of your question falls outside his own expertise, he says so clearly and refers you only with your agreement.

01

Strategy & positioning

Clear choices around repertoire, profile, release planning and your next commercial step.

02

Publishing & rights

Clarity on splits, masters, publishing, contract routes and the agreements that need to be in place.

03

Partnerships & introductions

Targeted connections with suitable professionals, publishers, labels and international partners.

04

Guidance & negotiations

Preparation, assessment and support for a concrete next phase, always under a separate written engagement.

Our role: advice. Your role: decisions.

Music Troubleshooter acts solely in an advisory capacity. You decide whether and how to use the advice and remain responsible for your own choices, communications, negotiations, commitments and agreements.

Read when we are and are not involved

If you negotiate or make decisions independently without asking us to review or advise in advance, we are not a party to those choices and are not responsible for the outcome or obligations arising from them. If you want us to review or support a proposal, negotiation or agreement, this must be agreed separately and in writing beforehand.

This does not affect any liability that cannot be excluded under mandatory law.

Pitching is a best-efforts service, not a guarantee of placement, release or income.

A clear process

From Match Call to focused expertise.

You can choose a session with Pascal alone. If other expertise is needed, he first maps your question and refers you — only with your agreement — to the right professional.

Our network, used with purpose

The right professional at the right moment.

These professionals are part of the Music Troubleshooter network. You can work with Pascal alone or, when it is genuinely useful, engage a suitable professional through him. Pascal remains your strategic point of contact.

Good to know

Short and clear.

Who is this for?

For artists, producers and songwriters who already have music or a concrete plan, but feel stuck on direction, release, positioning, rights or partners.

Does my music need to be finished?

No. A clear question matters more than a finished product. The session can also help with demos or early release planning.

Can I speak only with Pascal?

Yes. You can book Pascal as your sole adviser for a focused session. If you can resolve the question together, there is no reason to involve another professional. If part of it requires expertise outside his own field, Pascal discusses that with you first and refers you only with your agreement.

What is included in the rate?

The standard starting rate is €195 including VAT for one 60-minute session with Pascal or one chosen professional. It applies once per customer, per professional and is not a bundle covering several professionals. If a professional requires a different starting rate or extra preparation, we always agree this in advance. With Pascal, you can send up to 3 tracks beforehand and he reviews them before the video call.

How do payment and booking work?

You can request a paid session with Pascal directly or start with a free 15-minute Match Call. If other expertise is needed, Pascal first discusses the referral with you. Once the professional is selected and available, you receive the correct payment link and we confirm the time and video call.

Can I book more than one professional?

Yes. The introductory rate applies separately to each professional. For example, one start session with Ketil and one with Rutti costs €195 twice. A further session with the same professional is charged at that professional's regular follow-up rate.

What do follow-up hours cost?

The regular rate varies by professional and assignment. You always receive a proposal in advance. A package rate may apply to a larger, pre-agreed bundle of hours; any discount is not automatic and is confirmed in writing.

Is the session online or in person?

The session normally takes place by video call using Google Meet. An in-person appointment is possible by prior arrangement. Travel time is calculated in advance based on the normal return journey from our business base, at €25 including VAT per 15 minutes. Car travel is charged at €0.35 per kilometre return, plus any parking and toll costs. For public transport, we charge the actual costs. The total is always confirmed in advance; there is no separate call-out fee.

Is this also a publishing or mentoring programme?

No. This is deliberately one focused session. If you want us to work on pitching, placement, strategy or rights afterwards, you will always receive a separate proposal with clear terms.

What if you also pitch or place the music?

Advice remains advice. If we actively take the work forward, we first agree a separate arrangement, such as co-publishing or title-by-title publishing. Rights, role, term and compensation are always documented separately in writing. Pitching is a best-efforts service and does not guarantee a deal, release or income.
